Make plans to attend UC Optometric Continuing Education Lecture Series!
1/2008 - The next installment of the UC Optometric Continuing Education will take place 1/22/08. Interested OD's will need to RSVP (via email) to Regina Shatzer. Lectures take place at the Kehoe Auditorium off of Eden Ave across the street from the UC College of Medicine.

It's Official--HB149 has Passed!
12/2007- In case you have been under a rock, the scope of practice bill was officially ratified by the Governor on 12/21/2007!! Make sure and thank anyone involved for making this happen. There will be regional meetings to discuss what the scope of practice bill means for OD's. Visit the OOA website for more details and see the latest issue of sightlines (over to the right!) for additional info.

Zone 8 OD's Take Two Trustee Positions!
10/2007 - Don Faimon and Terri Gossard were both successful at winning two of the three open trustee seats. This was a re-election bid for Dr. Faimon and will be Dr. Gossard's first time serving as OOA trustee. Zone 8 will be well represented for the next two years! Congratulations to you both.
